The Artesian Well
The Artesian Well is an odd place to see in the middle of a dry desert. Water is always flowing out of the well that was originally dug for an oil derrick. In the same area you can find reminisce of the 1920’s failed oil wells.
Located on the east side of the park you can get to it past the Gas Domes. You can also follow Artesian Trail and Cahuilla Trail to get there. Trails to this are more difficult then the fire trail style of Gas Dome Trail.
